This Cookie Policy explains how Saneter uses cookies and similar browser technologies in connection with saneter.com, the Saneter customer account area, and related web interfaces that link to this Policy. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Saneter is an unincorporated business operated by an individual owner in the United States. References to "Saneter," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Service.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small pieces of data that a website or service can store in a browser and receive again on later requests. They can support functions such as keeping a user signed in, maintaining security state, remembering a preference, or helping a security provider distinguish legitimate traffic from automated abuse.

Some web functions may also use similar browser technologies, such as local storage or session storage. Those technologies are not technically cookies, but this Policy discusses them where they perform a similar account, security, or preference function.

2. Our Current Approach

Saneter's current public-site implementation is designed to use only technologies that are reasonably necessary for website delivery, account functionality, authentication, security, fraud prevention, or user-requested preferences. Saneter is not intentionally deploying advertising, cross-site behavioral profiling, or marketing cookies on the public marketing site at the time this Policy is published.

The customer account area may require session, authentication, security, or preference cookies that are not needed on a purely static public page. The exact cookie set can therefore differ depending on which Saneter service you use, whether you are signed in, and whether a security challenge is triggered.

3. Strictly Necessary and Functional Cookies

Saneter may use cookies that are necessary to provide a feature you request or to operate the Service securely. Depending on the page and account state, these may support:

• sign-in, session continuity, and account authentication;
• security checks, anti-abuse controls, and fraud prevention;
• protection against unauthorized requests or account misuse;
• load balancing, content delivery, and reliable website operation;
• language or interface preferences that you choose;
• checkout or account state required to complete a requested transaction; and
• other functions that are technically necessary to provide a page or service you requested.

Where applicable law permits strictly necessary technologies to operate without optional consent, Saneter may use them without presenting a marketing-style cookie choice. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in, security verification, checkout, or other requested features from working.

4. Cloudflare Security and Delivery Technologies

Saneter uses Cloudflare infrastructure for public-site delivery and security. Depending on Cloudflare configuration, the visitor's network conditions, and whether a security or bot challenge is triggered, Cloudflare may set or read security-related cookies.

Examples that may appear in some circumstances include __cf_bm, which Cloudflare may use as part of bot-management functions, and cf_clearance, which may be used to record that a visitor successfully passed a Cloudflare challenge. These examples are conditional: this Policy does not state that either cookie is always set for every visitor or on every request.

Cloudflare can change the names, purposes, behavior, or retention of its security technologies over time. For that reason, Saneter does not promise a fixed lifetime for a Cloudflare cookie in this Policy. The actual browser record and Cloudflare's then-current documentation provide more precise technical information when a specific Cloudflare cookie is present.

5. Authentication and Customer Account Cookies

When you sign in to the customer area, the account system may use session or authentication technologies to recognize the signed-in session and protect account access. These technologies are used to provide the account session you requested and may be deleted, replaced, rotated, or expired as part of normal authentication and security controls.

Saneter does not list a permanent set of authentication cookie names in this Policy because names and implementation details can change when the account platform or security controls are updated.

6. Preference Technologies

Saneter may store a limited preference that you deliberately select, such as a language or interface choice, where doing so improves the requested experience. A preference technology is not used as an advertising profile merely because it remains in the browser between visits.

7. Analytics and Advertising Cookies

At the time this Policy is published, Saneter's current public-site source does not intentionally deploy Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar third-party advertising or behavioral analytics tags that would require Saneter to describe an active marketing-cookie program on the public marketing site.

This statement describes the current implementation and is not a promise that Saneter will never use privacy-compliant analytics in the future. If Saneter later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking technologies, this Policy will be updated and consent or opt-out controls will be provided where applicable law requires them.

8. Cookie Banner and Consent Controls

Saneter does not currently present a separate marketing-cookie consent banner on the public marketing site solely for strictly necessary delivery and security technologies. A banner is not useful if it falsely suggests that optional advertising cookies are present when they are not.

If non-essential cookies or similar technologies are introduced and applicable law requires prior consent or another preference mechanism, Saneter will implement an appropriate control for those technologies rather than treating this Policy alone as consent.

9. Third-Party Sign-In, Payment, and External Websites

When you choose a third-party sign-in provider, payment provider, hosted checkout, or another external service, that provider may use cookies or similar technologies on its own domain or interface. Those technologies are controlled by the third party and are governed by its own privacy and cookie terms, not by Saneter merely because you reached the provider from a Saneter page.

Likewise, websites that a customer accesses through a Saneter proxy operate independently. Cookies set by those destination websites are not Saneter cookies and are outside this Policy.

10. Session and Persistent Cookies

A session cookie generally expires when the relevant browser session ends, while a persistent cookie can remain until its configured expiry time or until it is removed. Whether a particular necessary cookie is session-based or persistent depends on its purpose, account state, security requirements, and the provider that controls it.

Saneter avoids publishing a universal retention period for every cookie because doing so would be inaccurate across authentication, security, preference, and third-party infrastructure technologies.

11. Information Associated With Cookies

Depending on the technology, a cookie or related request may be associated with information such as a random identifier, session state, security challenge state, selected preference, IP address, browser or device information, request metadata, or account authentication state.

12. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers allow you to inspect, delete, or block cookies through browser settings. You may also be able to clear site data for a particular domain. Browser interfaces differ, so refer to the controls provided by your browser or device.

Blocking all cookies can interfere with authentication, security challenges, account sessions, checkout, saved preferences, and other features that depend on necessary browser state. Saneter cannot guarantee that the Service will function correctly when necessary cookies are disabled.

13. Global Privacy Control and Similar Signals

Saneter does not currently operate a public-site business model based on selling cross-site advertising cookie profiles. Where a legally recognized browser signal, such as Global Privacy Control, applies to a data practice that Saneter actually performs, Saneter will handle the signal as required by applicable law.

A browser signal does not disable strictly necessary authentication or security cookies when those technologies are required to provide a service requested by the user and are otherwise permitted by law.

14. Security

Cookie values and session identifiers should be treated as security-sensitive where they can affect account access. Do not intentionally share authentication cookies, session tokens, or security credentials with unauthorized persons. If you believe your Saneter account session has been compromised, sign out where possible and contact support.

15. Changes to This Policy

Saneter may update this Cookie Policy when website functionality, account authentication, infrastructure providers, analytics practices, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date will be revised when a new version is published.
