Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Saneter ("Saneter," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information when you visit saneter.com, create or use a customer account, purchase or manage proxy services, communicate with us, or otherwise use services made available by Saneter (collectively, the "Service").
Saneter currently operates as an unincorporated business operated by an individual owner in the United States. Saneter is not represented on this website as a corporation, limited liability company, or other registered company entity. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to personal information that Saneter processes in connection with the public website, customer account area, purchasing and billing, Residential proxy traffic, Mobile proxy traffic, ISP proxies, Dedicated IPv4 proxies, IPv6 proxy services, customer support, security, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, and related service administration.
This Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that a customer chooses to access through a Saneter proxy. Those third parties operate independently and may collect information under their own privacy policies and terms.
2. Information We May Collect
2.1 Account and profile information
When you create or maintain a Saneter account, we may process information such as your email address, account identifier, authentication information, preferred language, and profile or billing details you choose to provide. Passwords are handled through the account authentication system and are not displayed to Saneter staff as readable account passwords.
2.2 Social sign-in information
If you choose an available third-party sign-in method, such as Google sign-in, the authentication provider may send Saneter information needed to authenticate or link your account. Depending on the provider and the permissions presented during sign-in, this may include an account identifier, email address, name, or similar basic profile information. Saneter does not receive your password for the third-party account.
2.3 Order, service, and billing information
We may process information associated with quotations, carts, orders, invoices, purchased traffic, proxy allocations, service periods, renewals or extensions initiated by the customer, account balance activity, promotional codes, refunds, and payment status. This can include invoice and transaction identifiers, amounts, currencies, payment-method identifiers, timestamps, and records needed to reconcile a payment or service delivery.
Payment transactions may be handled through third-party payment services. Saneter may receive payment confirmations, transaction identifiers, amounts, status information, or other information reasonably necessary to match a payment to an invoice. We do not claim in this Policy that Saneter stores full payment-card numbers or private cryptocurrency wallet credentials.
2.4 Proxy and service-usage information
Operating a proxy service necessarily creates technical and operational information. Depending on the product and the systems involved, Saneter or an upstream infrastructure provider may process connection information, source IP addresses, timestamps, assigned proxy or endpoint information, bandwidth or traffic usage, authentication events, error or diagnostic information, service status, and other technical records reasonably necessary to provide, secure, meter, troubleshoot, or protect the Service.
We do not describe Saneter as a "no-log" service. At the same time, this Policy does not state that Saneter records the full contents of every customer request or a complete browsing history. The information actually processed can vary by product, technical architecture, upstream provider, security event, and legal requirement.
2.5 Device, website, and security information
When you access our website or customer area, systems used to operate and protect the Service may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request metadata, security events, failed authentication attempts, and similar information. Cloudflare is used for website delivery and security and may process request and security information as part of those functions.
2.6 Support and communications
If you contact Saneter, we may process the content of your message and information reasonably associated with it, such as your email address, account or order identifiers, attachments you send, timestamps, and the history needed to understand and resolve the request.
2.7 Abuse, fraud, and legal-compliance information
We may create or receive records concerning suspected fraud, phishing, spam, network attacks, unauthorized access, abuse of promotions, intellectual-property complaints, violations of our Terms, unlawful use of proxy resources, or other conduct that may threaten Saneter, our customers, upstream providers, or third parties. Such records may include technical evidence, complaint information, account and order references, security indicators, and actions taken in response.
3. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect Merely Because You Use a Proxy
Saneter does not require customers to submit the contents of ordinary web pages, private messages, passwords for third-party websites, or similar third-party content merely to purchase a proxy service. A proxy connection may nevertheless involve technical processing by Saneter or upstream network infrastructure that is necessary to route, authenticate, meter, protect, or troubleshoot the connection.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that data they send, collect, access, or process through the Service is handled lawfully and in accordance with the Terms of Service and applicable third-party rights.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for purposes including:
- creating, authenticating, maintaining, and securing customer accounts;
- displaying and administering purchased services and account information;
- building quotes, processing orders, generating invoices, and reconciling payments;
- provisioning proxy traffic, IP resources, credentials, service periods, renewals, or extensions;
- measuring traffic or resource consumption where needed for the purchased product;
- providing customer support and responding to account, billing, technical, or refund requests;
- detecting and preventing fraud, account takeover, attacks, spam, phishing, and other misuse;
- investigating suspected violations of the Terms of Service or applicable law;
- protecting Saneter, upstream infrastructure providers, customers, and third parties;
- diagnosing errors, maintaining reliability, and improving the operation of the Service;
- maintaining financial, transaction, security, and business records where reasonably necessary;
- responding to valid legal process and complying with applicable legal obligations; and
- communicating material account, billing, security, service, or policy information.
5. Legal Bases Where Applicable
Privacy laws differ by location. Where a law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to particular processing, Saneter may rely on one or more legally recognized bases, including performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of legal rights, or consent where consent is required.
A reference to a possible legal basis in this Policy does not mean that every privacy law applies to every customer or that Saneter is making a representation that it meets a particular statutory business-size threshold. Non-waivable rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.
6. When We May Share Information
6.1 Service and infrastructure providers
We may provide information to vendors or infrastructure providers when reasonably necessary to operate the Service. These may include hosting and security providers, payment services, billing systems, authentication providers, email or support systems, and upstream proxy-network or IP providers. The information shared depends on the function being performed and should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for that function.
6.2 Proxy fulfillment and upstream providers
Some Saneter products depend on third-party network or proxy infrastructure. Information reasonably necessary to request, provision, administer, troubleshoot, renew, extend, suspend, or terminate a proxy resource may be exchanged with the relevant upstream provider. This does not mean that every customer profile field is provided to every upstream provider.
6.3 Fraud, security, and abuse response
We may disclose relevant information when reasonably necessary to investigate or stop suspected fraud, phishing, spam, malware, network attacks, unauthorized access, threats to infrastructure, serious Terms violations, or other activity that could cause harm. Where appropriate, this may include sharing information with an affected provider, platform, rights holder, security contact, or other party involved in resolving the incident.
6.4 Legal requests and protection of rights
We may preserve, use, or disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, respond to a lawful request from a competent authority, establish or defend legal claims, protect rights or safety, or prevent serious harm. Saneter may scrutinize requests and may decline or narrow requests that are invalid, overbroad, or not legally binding where permitted by law.
6.5 Business transfer
If the operation of Saneter or relevant assets are sold, transferred, reorganized, or succeeded by another operator, information may be transferred as reasonably necessary for that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protection of the information.
7. We Do Not Sell Personal Information as a Data-Broker Business Model
Saneter's business is providing proxy-related services, not selling customer personal information as a data-broker product. We do not use this statement to override any broader statutory definition of "sale" or "sharing" that may apply in a particular jurisdiction. If applicable law gives you a specific opt-out right, you may contact us to exercise that right.
8. International Processing
Saneter is operated from the United States, while customers, website infrastructure, payment services, security providers, and upstream proxy infrastructure may be located in multiple countries. As a result, information may be processed outside the country where a customer lives.
Where applicable law requires a particular transfer safeguard, Saneter will use a lawful mechanism appropriate to the circumstances. We do not state in this Policy that a specific contractual transfer mechanism, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, is in place unless and until that arrangement has actually been verified for the relevant transfer.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for no longer than is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, subject to operational, security, dispute-resolution, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, provider, and legal requirements. Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
- Account information: generally retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
- Order, invoice, payment, and accounting records: retained as reasonably necessary for transaction history, reconciliation, accounting, tax, dispute, and compliance purposes.
- Service and security records: retained for periods appropriate to operations, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, security investigations, and protection of infrastructure.
- Support communications: retained as needed to resolve requests, document prior support actions, handle disputes, and improve support continuity.
We intentionally do not publish a universal fixed retention period for all records where the actual period depends on the category of data, the service involved, a provider requirement, an active investigation, or applicable law.
10. Security
Saneter uses technical and organizational measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse of information. Measures may include encrypted network transport, access controls, credential protection, infrastructure security, fraud and abuse controls, backups where appropriate, and security services provided by infrastructure partners.
No internet service, storage system, or security measure can guarantee absolute security. Customers are also responsible for protecting account credentials, proxy credentials, API credentials, and devices used to access the Service.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The public website and customer services may use cookies or similar browser storage that are necessary for security, authentication, session handling, preferences, or operation of the Service. Cloudflare may set security-related cookies when its security features are triggered. For additional information, see our Cookie Policy.
We will not describe analytics, advertising, or marketing trackers as being in use unless they are actually deployed. If our use of non-essential cookies materially changes, this Policy and the Cookie Policy should be updated and any consent mechanism required by applicable law should be implemented.
12. Customer Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about certain disclosures.
These rights are not absolute. We may need to verify your identity, and we may retain information where necessary to complete transactions, keep required records, protect security, prevent fraud, establish or defend legal claims, comply with law, or honor another lawful exception.
To submit a privacy or personal-data request, email support@saneter.com. Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account and understand the request, but do not send passwords or other unnecessary sensitive credentials by email.
13. United States and California Privacy Disclosures
Saneter is operated from the United States. Certain U.S. state privacy laws apply only when statutory thresholds or other conditions are met. Nothing in this Policy is intended to falsely represent that Saneter is a corporation or that every state privacy statute applies to Saneter.
Where California or another applicable U.S. privacy law gives an individual a non-waivable right, Saneter will handle a verified request in accordance with the law that actually applies. We will not discriminate unlawfully against a customer for exercising an applicable privacy right.
14. Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Saneter does not knowingly invite children to purchase proxy services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Saneter in circumstances where it should not have been collected, contact support@saneter.com so the matter can be reviewed.
15. Third-Party Websites Accessed Through a Proxy
Saneter provides network services; it does not control the websites, applications, platforms, or online services a customer chooses to access through a proxy. A third party may independently collect identifiers, cookies, account data, or other information when you interact with it. You should review that third party's privacy practices and ensure that your activity complies with applicable law and the Saneter Terms of Service.
16. Abuse Investigations and Account Restrictions
Saneter may use relevant account, transaction, service, technical, complaint, and security information to investigate suspected unlawful or abusive use of the Service. This includes suspected fraud, phishing, account theft, spam, attacks, unauthorized system access, exploitation of minors, serious intellectual-property violations, or other conduct prohibited by our Terms.
If Saneter reasonably believes an account or proxy resource presents an immediate legal, security, fraud, or abuse risk, we may preserve relevant evidence and restrict or suspend affected services or account access while the matter is investigated. Additional consequences, including termination, are governed by the Terms of Service and applicable law.
17. Legal Process, Law Enforcement, and Rights Complaints
Formal legal notices, valid legal process, law-enforcement requests, and rights complaints intended for Saneter's legal contact may be sent to legal@saneter.com. Ordinary customer support, refund, or personal-data requests should be sent to support@saneter.com.
Sending a request does not guarantee disclosure of information. Saneter may require appropriate identification, authority, jurisdiction, specificity, or legal process before disclosing account information, except where emergency or other applicable law provides a different lawful basis.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, data practices, or legal obligations change. The "Last updated" date should be revised when a new version is published. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a particular change, we will take the steps required by that law.
19. Contact
For privacy questions, account-data requests, correction or deletion requests, and ordinary privacy support, contact support@saneter.com.
For formal legal notices, law-enforcement requests, or legal rights complaints, contact legal@saneter.com.
